Change of Custody After Child Has Already Been Moved Away?
I went through a divorce about 3 years ago. Though the divorce was fairly painless, parenting issues have become tougher and tougher. I had moved to a different state for my job, and then returned home to where my son lived. His mother and I have joint custody of my son; however she is the residential parent. While I moved, she kept him, and when I returned he resided mainly with his mother.

Ex Wants to Move Child to Another State
I am in Albuquerque, NM, and facing a relocation mediation situation sometime in October. From what I get from my lawyer, there is a "heavy burden of proof" on my ex and her husband of three weeks to show "compelling reason" for them to relocate my son to the Milwaukee area.

What Is Reasonable Visitation?
What is considered reasonable visitation? I would love to get my children as much as I can.
Perhaps no divorce or custody decree language has caused more trouble for fathers, mothers, and children, but most especially fathers, than the "reasonable visitation" language.

When Parents are Both Minors and Their Families Object
I have a brief question. A friend of a friend has a younger sister, 16 years old, who became pregnant by a young man of the same age. In a nutshell, the girl's family mistreats her now because she is Mexican and her boyfriend is black. The girl's family (her older brothers and father) have beaten up this kid and vowed to never allow him access to the child once he/she is born.
